The writer behind Radio 4 comedy programme Radio 9has been given his first TV series commission by BBC3. Johnny Daukes, who also contributed to BBC3 animation sketch show Monkey Dust, is to write The Message, created around a spoof channel made up of sketches showing what television will look like in the future. The 6 x 30-minute in-house series has been commissioned by BBC3 controller Stuart Murphy, is executive produced by Jon Plowman and is due for broadcast next year.
