Emma Morgan has been appointed head of development and executive producer at Mentorn Media after nearly eight years at rival indie Twofour.

Morgan, who is scheduled to join Mentorn at the beginning of December, will take on responsibility for formats and documentary ideas across all broadcasters, as well as executive producing her own commissions.

Her most recent role at Twofour was as head of development, when she worked on series and singles such as High Street Heroes with Jo Malone for BBC1 and Hidden Heroes for Channel 4.

She also executive produced her own commissions, including The Art On Your Wall with Sue Perkins for BBC2, Fat Teens In Love for ITV1 and the RTS-winning Why Men Wear Frocks with Grayson Perry for C4.

Mentorn has also teamed up with former producer Claire Richmond’s new venture FindATVExpert to host a series of seminars across the UK searching for new TV talent in 2011.

All of the seminars - which are due to run from March to September across the UK - will be presented by Richmond and Mentorn’s head of on-screen talent Sonia Beldom.
