Former Coronation Street AP and Sunburn series producer gets key role on return of motel soap
Carlton Television has announced that Kay Patrick will be the series producer on Crossroads, the long running motel soap which is due to return next year.

Patrick, who has directed episodes of all the UK's major soaps including EastEnders, Brookside, Emmerdale and Coronation Street, will initially oversee the construction of the Crossroads set - upped for the new series from motel to hotel - before filming starts in earnest at Carlton's Nottingham Studios at the beginning of December.

Patrick, who most recently produced the first series of holiday rep drama Sunburn, said she would develop Crossroads into 'a fresh and vibrant must see show.' She will report to executive producer Sharon Bloom.
