Grading, audio and VFX suites included in new home

Creative Outpost has opened a refreshed five-floor post facility. 

Redeveloping its home in Fitzrovia, the facility now has a main grading room and support room, three Dolby Atmos-certified audio suites, and three VFX suites. There is also a design suite and the capability for three remote grading suites, three remote audio setups and three remote VFX suites. it also features a specially commissioned David Hicks’ Hexagon design carpet, famously featured in the corridors of the Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. 

Creative Outpost’s base is located just off Oxford St, behind a private gated courtyard. The remote aspect of the post house’s setup uses Creative Outpost’s cloud based remote CO-stream grading platform, which allows users to join live grading sessions from anywhere in the world. 

The colour department, led by head of colour Mark Horrobin, is at the centre of the new studio, and co-founder and managing director Danny Etherington said: “Colour is much more than the final technical stage of a project. It shapes how a story feels, how a world is understood and what an audience remembers. We have built Creative Outpost around exceptional Colour talent, close collaboration and the belief that the best work happens when the right people are involved from the very beginning.”
