Unit has appointed Stephen “Huggy” Henry as head of 3D, to lead and expand its CG and 3D offering across advertising, branded content and longform projects.

Henry brings more than 22 years of post-production experience progressing to CG supervisor during 15 years at Absolute Post.

Most recently, he worked with Manchester-based Realtime before joining Unit.

Henry’s commercials highlights include the H&M campaign directed by Baz Luhrmann, where he supervised complex 3D and CG elements including full building scans and a demolition of a stately home. On Adidas campaigns, he developed and executed detailed CG environments that brought sports-inspired visuals to life, blending real and digital elements. Working with Lidl, he managed the creation of full CG extensions and product integrations.

At Unit, he will lead the studio’s 3D department, overseeing project delivery, resourcing, and team supervision.

Adam Luckwell, Unit co-founder, said: “Stephen is an outstanding 3D artist whose expertise strengthens our commercial offering. His arrival brings top-tier talent to an already world-class team and enhances our ability to deliver technically ambitious, high-profile projects.”

Henry added: “My aim is always to help bring a client’s vision to life in a way that feels true to what they imagined from the outset. Unit has a strong creative identity and a genuinely collaborative way of working, which really appealed to me. I’m excited to bring my experience into the studio, contribute a fresh direction to the CG and 3D work, and leave my imprint as the team and the work continue to grow.”
