Freelance storyboard artist Rob Glenny has won the first Nokia Shorts competition. Entrants had to make an original 15-second film for mobile phones for the competition run by Nokia in partnership with Raindance, the organisation dedicated to promoting independent film. Glenny won with The Final Performance of the Amazing Keith and his prize is a chance to make a longer short, with professional crew and equipment. He will also receive film-training courses at Raindance. Meanwhile, Avid has launched Super Shorts, a search to find great films that are no longer than two minutes.
