Company will produce live matches as well as digital coverage of the cricket tournament

The Hundred BBC Sport Whisper

BBC Sport has appointed Whisper to produce its 2026 coverage of The Hundred.

The BBC had previously produced its programming for the cricket tournament in house, and Sky Sports runs the host broadcast as the main rights holder and shows every game at the tournament. Whisper will now produce the BBC’s presentations on its eight live double header matchdays, as well as its digital coverage.

Whisper Cymru will do this from its Cymru Broadcast Centre (CBC) in Cardiff. The work will include platform-specific content across BBC Sport’s social channels and Whisper’s in-house graphic design agency Chapter3 creating wrap around graphics. The graphics will aim to use a contemporary, highly textured 2D visual style, fusing iconic locations, teams, and star players to deliver a high-energy look.

Rob Williams, executive producer at Whisper, said: “We are incredibly proud to be trusted by the BBC to deliver The Hundred for the first time. This tournament has entirely reshaped the domestic cricket landscape through its fast-paced format and equal billing for the women’s and men’s games. To look after eight live double-headers, leading right up to the spectacular Finals at Lord’s, is a massive honor for our team. Our aim is to lean directly into our ‘Entertainment is Everything’ mantra, bringing high-energy storytelling to ensure the broadcast matches the electric atmosphere found in the grounds.”

Alexander O’Hagan, senior digital lead at Whisper, added: “The Hundred is an incredible tournament because it naturally lives where the fans are, both in the stadium and digitally. By combining our live production engine with dedicated, platform-first digital assets, we are offering services that lets fans interact with the tournament whenever and wherever they choose. This is about deeper integration: capturing the emotion, athlete personalities, and cultural hype to help the BBC spark new conversations, engage next-generation demographics, and drive long-term viewer retention.”
