Gravity Media has agreed a deal with SX Global to provide coverage of the FIM World Supercross Championship.

This begins at the WSX Australian Grand Prix at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne this weekend, 21-22 October, where Gravity Media will provide a 33 camera coverage, including speciality cameras and a SpiderCam tracking the action from above.

This also includes new rider helmet cameras designed and developed by Gravity Media Australia, which are part of a 16 on-bike camera commitment to the coverage.

This coverage will be delivered across major international broadcast platforms, including the Seven Network in Australia, FOX Sports in the United States, DAZN covering Europe, India and Japan, and BT Sport in the United Kingdom.

The World Supercross Championship is in its pilot season, after the FIM awarded SX Global the organisational and commercial rights to stage it in December 2021. The opening event took place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales this month, with it to expand significantly across major territories over the coming eighteen months.

Nathan Prendergast, who worked on Supercars until this year, is on board as broadcast director for the competition. He works under president Tony Cochrane, also formerly of V8 Supercars, and managing directors Adam Bailey, fomer race driver, and Ryan Sanderson, also ex-V8 Supercars.
