Rowing event will stay free-to-watch on YouTube

Henley Regatta has turned to Limitless Broadcast to produce its broadcast and streaming feeds until the end of 2030.
Limitless will produce all six days of the rowing event, which will be streamed for free on YouTube. Announcing the new agreement, Limitless and Henley say they will work on, “a forward-looking, digital-first production.”
This will see a focus on social and digital channels, as well as an, “integrated content model.” The production itself will also aim to use the latest tech, promising a dedicated private 5G network, AI-powered super slow motion, real-time race data, live statistics, and multi-camera on-water positions, including drone footage, for 2026.
In addition, 2026 will see the debut of a new daily lunchtime entertainment show, The Progress Board, created in collaboration with JRN (Junior Rowing News). The show will bring viewers the latest stories, news, exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes content, technical analysis and fresh insight into the traditions and quirks of the regatta.
Sir Matthew Pinsent, four-time Olympic gold medallist, BBC commentator and steward across the HRR broadcast, said: “As we look ahead to the next chapter of Henley Royal Regatta’s broadcast ambitions, we are committed to evolving in a way that honours our past and embraces our future.
“Our previous broadcast model has served us exceptionally well and helped establish HRR as the world leader in rowing coverage. Now we have an opportunity to build on that legacy, opening up Henley to more audiences around the world while continuing to deliver the quality, authority and atmosphere people expect from this event.
“This partnership with Limitless Broadcast reflects our ambition to preserve everything that makes Henley special, while moving confidently into a modern, innovative and digitally connected future.”
Claire Wilkie, founder and CEO of Limitless Broadcast, said: “Henley Royal Regatta is one of the most iconic events in world sport, with a history, atmosphere and sporting standard that is completely unique.
“Our role is to help take that magic even further. This partnership is about building on Henley’s extraordinary broadcast legacy and creating a modern content ecosystem that brings the Regatta to life for every type of fan - from lifelong rowing supporters to people discovering Henley for the very first time.
“We believe the future of sports coverage is far greater than a live feed. It is about storytelling, access, discovery, community and creating moments that travel across platforms. Henley has everything needed to lead that future, and we are incredibly proud to be part of its next chapter.”
