Livewire Pictures will produce the host broadcast for the 2027 Invictus Games.

It will also handle the production of the opening and closing ceremonies for the event, which will take place in Birmingham from 10-17 July. The Games sees wounded, injured and sick military service personnel, both serving and veterans, take part in a sporting contest, and was founded by Prince Harry in 2014. 

Livewire will produce across all 12 adaptive sports, with daily live streams, highlights programming, and international broadcast services. Its team will include Livewire managing director Guy Freeman, lead features producer Tom Cuckson, line producer Jenna Winstanley and technical director James Bonnar, all of whom have previously worked on the Invictus Games. 

Lead ceremonies producer Cerrie Frost and head of ceremonies production Chris Vaughan will also work on the production.

Livewire was set up in partnership with Hat Trick in 2018, and has produced BBC Proms since 2019.
