The former DAZN outside broadcast chief will take up the role in March 2026
NEP Europe has appointed David Rees as managing director of NEP Connect, effective March 2026.
Rees brings more than two decades of global broadcast experience across live and pre-recorded linear, digital, and OTT platforms.
His career spans Europe, MENA, Asia, South America and the USA, where he has collaborated sports federations and rights-holders, including Serie A, the Bundesliga, UEFA, the J League, Premiership Rugby, and EPCR.
Most recently, Rees served as head of outside broadcast at DAZN, where he led host broadcast strategy for the company’s expansion into emerging markets.
David Rees will report to Arjan van Westerloo, EVP, NEP Europe and join the regional senior leadership team.
NEP Connect provides connectivity for broadcast, live events, and corporate clients worldwide. Its offerings include a fibre network, global satellite coverage, on-location broadband, gateway services, and remote production capabilities.

Rees will succeed Interim managing director Vince Russell.
