NEP Europe has appointed Steve Curran as managing director of NEP Ireland, effective immediately.
NEP Ireland has also made Adam Scarff director of operations & technology, and Sean Dunne director of finance.
Together with Curran, they will form NEP Ireland’s senior leadership team.
Curran was previously commercial director for NEP Ireland, a role he has held since 2016. Prior to joining NEP Ireland, he had more than 35 years’ experience across the film, television and broadcast industry.
His early career included work on productions such as Saving Private Ryan, followed by a wide range of high-end drama and entertainment projects.
He spent 10 years with Ireland’s national broadcaster RTÉ as presenter / producer, and a further decade in the independent production sector as head of production at VIP Productions, before moving into the outside broadcast and media services sector with NEP.
In his new role, Curran will report to Arjan van Westerloo, executive vice president, NEP Europe, and will join the regional senior leadership team, contributing to NEP Europe’s continued strategic development and growth.
Arjan van Westerloo said: “I am delighted to appoint Steve following a thoughtful internal succession process that reflects the depth of talent within our organisation. Steve has been instrumental to NEP Ireland’s success over the past decade, and his deep industry expertise, strong client relationships, and collaborative leadership style make him exceptionally well suited to lead the business into its next phase of growth.
“Together with Adam Scarff as director of operations & technology and Sean Dunne as director of finance, we have established a high-performing leadership team built from strong internal succession. This structure provides continuity, operational excellence, and strategic focus, positioning NEP Ireland for sustained growth and long-term success. Ireland is a strategically important market within our European portfolio, and with this leadership team in place, we are well positioned to further strengthen our market presence and continue expanding our service offering.”
Curran added: “I am incredibly proud to take on the role of managing director at NEP Ireland. Having been part of the NEP team for many years, I’ve seen first-hand the strength of our people, our technology, and our client partnerships. I look forward to working closely with the team to build on our momentum, deliver exceptional service to our customers, and continue to innovate in a rapidly evolving media landscape.”
