Post Fifty Fifty
Brief Full post on this 1 x 60-minute BBC3 doc exploring the arguments for and against legalisation of cannabis.
How it was done Fifty Fifty’s colourist Kenny Gibb used Baselight to subtly balance out the look of this one-off documentary, fronted by rapper and documentary-maker Professor Green who, before becoming a musician, used to sell cannabis. Gibb’s grade brought out the detail in what were often challenging and extreme environments. Online editor Ronnie Newman then worked on the images in Avid Symphony, adding a significant amount of blurring due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter. Dubbing mixer Nag Kirinde mixed the audio using an Avid S6 console, masking the contributors’ voices with multiple layers of distortion.
