Britain’s worst dental problems are to be examined in a BBC1 series from The Secret Life of Students indie Raw Television.

The Dentists

Fixing Britain’s Teeth (working title) is a 2 x 60-minute series in which members of the public will have their dental issues solved by experts.

The documentary will be set in an unconfirmed major London hospital and aims to dispel some of the myths and misconceptions which surround oral health.

It will explore a range of issues which affect oral health including diet, general care and phobia of visiting dentists.

Broadcast Greenlight

Former SuperScrimpers executive producer Helen White will series produce.

The show follows Keo Films’ one-off ITV documentary The Dentists (pictured), which aired on 16 June to a consolidated audience of 1.6m (6.2%).

The hour-long doc went behind the scenes of Manchester’s Dental Hospital to uncover the shocking state of Britain’s teeth.

BBC1 was unable to provide TX details of Fixing Britain’s Teeth.
