Murray has left Rise to focus on two other C4 shows: 4Music and Born Sloppy, just six months into his 12-month contract. His departure follows that of editor Deborah Turness, who quit last month after just four months on the show. Turness had replaced launch editor Mark Killick, who also walked out in May after just four days in the job.

Rise attracts around 200,000 viewers, 100,000 viewers short of its axed predecessor The Big Breakfast's worst ratings.
