The Radio Authority has awarded Score Digital the local digital multiplex licence for Dundee and Perth. Score Digital, wholly owned by Scottish Radio Holdings, plans to broadcast seven commercial services including a pop country service provided by Score Digital, a community access channel provided by Bridge FM and a chart and classic hits/sports channel provided by Radio Tay. Space is also reserved for BBC Radio Scotland and Gaelic language service Radio Nan Gaidheal. Score Digital plans to launch the multiplex within six months. Meanwhile, the Radio Authority has awarded the new independent local radio licence in Rugby to Rugby FM which will be a mix of community news, features, information and entertainment.
