The Channel 4 show produced by Granada is in the running for Costume Design, Editing Fiction/Entertainment, Make Up & Hair Design, Original Television Music, Photography & Lighting Fiction/Entertainment, Production Design and Sound Fiction/Entertainment.

Other leading productions include The Long Firm, which has picked up five nominations, Spookshas four and The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off, Dirty Filthy Love, British Isles: A Natural Historyand Himalaya With Michael Palineach have three. Little Britain, Elmina's Kitchenand Shamelesshave two apiece.

The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off's nominations include New Director Factual, which may see director Patrick Collerton pick up another accolade following his recent award at the Royal Television Society.

Actress Sarah Lancashire's directorial debut for Afternoon Plays - Viva Las Blackpoolsees her pick up a nomination in the New Direction Fiction category.

The awards that recognise the creative talent behind the camera will be held Sunday 8 May at The Dorchester in London.
