Sky News is preparing to launch an unmoderated weekly debate show focusing on freedom of speech and lively debate.
The Pledge will be hosted by five panellists selected from a pool of nine who have been selected for their controversial opinions.
Emma Barnett, James Caan, Michelle Dewberry, Greg Dyke, Nick Ferrari, Rachel Johnson, Graeme Le Saux, Michelle Mone and June Sarpong will take to the panel armed with an issue they care passionately about before presenting their opinion.
Director of content for Sky News John McAndrew said: “This is something really different for a TV news platform. Straight- talking, opinionated contributors, no conventional host. We are really excited.”
The Pledge begins on 21 April and will air on Thursdays from 8pm-9pm. It will be filmed at Sky’s Osterley studios.
