Directed by RSA Films Jake Scott for advertising agency St Lukes the 90 second ad attemots to convey the message, 'more connections more possibilities,' and uses complex crown replication techniques to bring crowds of millions to a gigantic amphitheatre.
Lola's Rob Harvey, who was part of a team of specialists who won an Oscar for the effects on Ridley Scott's Gladiator, used 3D technology to pre-visualise many of the shots needed to make the commercial.
Shot on location in South Africa, the ad required the construction of a 'photobooth studio' which was used to shoot the extras from a variety of degrees and angles.
The live action material was then composited by Inferno specialists Rob Moggach and Sean Broughton at S&M. The commercial was edited by Jim Wheedon and Trish Fuller at The Whitehouse.
Stadium will break on Thursday 28 June on ITV.
