Sports video news agency SNTV is to launch an online player for publishers to include a range of sports news about events including the Rugby World Cup and Formula 1 on their sites.
SNTV Digital, which launches on 1 October, will allow publishers to offer short video news and highlights across PCs, mobile and connected TVs.
The service, developed by digital video provider Rightster, offers broadcast-quality content and the opportunity for voice-overs if required. HD video will be available from January 2012.
Martin Kay, managing director of SNTV said the launch was being backed by additional investment in securing digital rights and newsgathering.
“Our customers – broadcasters, digital publishers, mobile operators – know their audience, so we’ve deliberately created SNTV Digital from our agency perspective, with a full range of content, delivery, and monetisation options for them to choose from,” said Kay.
SNTV is a partnership between IMG Media and The Associated Press.
