Channel 4 will make over an entire street as part of an ambitious new series from Talkback.

Streets Ahead (working title) is a 6 x 60-minute series presented by Property Ladder host Sarah Beeny. Each week, the residents of a street will be given tips on how to raise the value of their houses by collectively improving the exteriors.

Streets Ahead was ordered by C4 commissioning editor, features Emma Westcott and will be transmitted next year. Charlie Bunce will executive produce. Pete Demetris is series producer.

Meanwhile, the Talkback team behind How Clean is Your House? is to unite on two new shows tackling frantic households. C4 head of features Sue Murphy has commissioned a 6 x 30-minute series, working titled You Treat This Place Like a Hotel , in which disorganised households will be overhauled by hotelier Tim Hadcock Mackay. Production has just begun and it is thought to be heading for an 8.30pm slot this autumn.

Talkback has also been commissioned by Five to make 8 x 30-minute series The CHAOS Clinic , featuring householders who live in cluttered surroundings and suffer from CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome). It will be screened later this year.
