MPTS 2026 drew a record breaking 13,876 attendees over its two days earlier this month, an increase on the 13,000 that attended in 2025.

2026 saw the 10th anniversary of the trade show, which took place at Olympia London on 13-14 May. Attendees from 54 countries were able to enjoy over 130 free-to-attend conference sessions across eight theatres, with more than 450 speakers and keynote guests - 48% of which were female. In addition, the exhibition floor hosted more than 300 exhibitors and sponsors.

The Keynote Theatre saw some of the highest profile talks, with the likes of broadcaster, columnist and cultural commentator Grace Dent, Traitors series 2 winner and TV presenter Harry Clark, and Spectator editor Michael Gove taking to the stage. Other highlights across the programme included YouTube UK & Ireland head of content partnerships Rajarshi Lahiri speaking with Dante Media founder Jessica Dante and The Sidemen manager Jordan Schwarzenberger on the new Creator Hub stage, as well as ScreenSkills’ thought-provoking panel, Surviving the Freelancer Squeeze and plenty more.

Dent said of the event, “It is absolutely packed to the rafters. I can hardly hear myself speak. There are people everywhere, stands everywhere. It’s really interesting. It feels like the other side of TV that people don’t often think about, and I love being in a room that celebrates that. I love the sound people, the camera crews, everyone behind the scenes who makes it all happen.

“And it’s not just television either, there’s so much more to come here for.”

Clark added, “We’re here today celebrating the 10 year anniversary of this amazing show. I love it because it brings together people from across the industry, an industry I was honestly quite scared to get into at first, so being here gives me a real sense of confidence. It’s great to speak to people as well. You get so much insight into what you need to keep doing and how to grow within the industry. And honestly, everyone here loves chatting, which I love too. A massive happy 10th birthday to MPTS. Love you guys.”

2026 was also the debut of Post Production World Conference Europe at MPTS, bringing its training sessions to the continent for the first time. Over 100 attendees joined the two-day programme, which included hands-on learning, expert-led sessions and practical insights for professionals working across editing, colour, audio, VFX and AI workflows.

Charlotte Wheeler, event director of MPTS, said, “This year’s MPTS was our biggest and best yet, bringing thousands of people from across the industry together, the energy across the show floor was incredible. The conversations, connections and sense of community created a real buzz throughout the event - what a way to celebrate our 10 year milestone.

“The quality and diversity of attendees across every sector of the industry was exceptional, from technology leaders and broadcasters to production teams, commissioners, creators, freelancers and those just starting their careers.

“We want to thank everyone who exhibited, sponsored, spoke, attended and engaged with the show to make it such an amazing 10th Anniversary success. We’re already planning for 2027 and can’t wait to welcome the industry back again at Olympia London next year.”

Daniel Shihata, regional director at Ross Video, said: “MPTS is a great show for Ross Video. It gives us the opportunity to meet with many of our customers, system integrators, partners and consultants. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to network with industry colleagues and demonstrate all the new things Ross Video is doing.”

Rupert Watson, VP GTM EMEA at LucidLink, commented: “In the space of a day and a half, I’ve run into almost everybody I’ve known in the industry over the last 30 years, which has been slightly overwhelming. I think the show has been particularly strong this year because many people chose not to attend NAB, whether for cost reasons or otherwise, so we’ve had the opportunity to meet a lot of those people here instead.

“It’s been a very high-quality show for us, with many of the kinds of meetings we would normally expect to have at NAB now taking place at MPTS, which has been hugely beneficial. We’ve also had the chance to reconnect with many of our existing customers, who’ve made the effort to come and see us and share great feedback on the platform, while also meeting a lot of new people we hadn’t spoken to before. It’s been valuable on both fronts.”

Candice Cowan, UK and EMEA Marketing at Red Digital Cinema, said: “Over the last decade we’ve seen MPTS evolve from a broadcast technology exhibition into so much more.  For RED, the show provides a great opportunity to connect with local customers and partners across the broadcast, content creator and cine communities. It’s a well-rounded event that has responded to the changes in the industry and provides something (valuable) for everyone.”
