Large-format cine camera available for $14,995 (£11,080)

Red V-Raptor XE

Red Digital Cinema has launched the V-Raptor XE, a large-format cinema camera. 

Available for $14,995 (£11,080 at time of writing), the XE is a streamlined version of the V-Raptor [X]. It includes a 8K large-format (VV) global shutter sensor, 17 stops of dynamic range, and weighs just over 1.8kg. 

It can be ordered now, and shipping will begin in October. Also available is the V-Raptor XE Cine Essentials Pack ($19,995, £14,774)), which includes the XE camera, a PL w/ Electronic ND Filter Adapter Pack, a DSMC3™ Red Touch 7.0” LCD, and the Outrigger Handle. The XE can also be upgraded to the [X] at a later date.
