VeePod allows contributors in different locations to appear to be in the same studio
VeePod has launched its virtual video podcast studio system.
Launched by Rob Chandler, who also founded the Starting Pixel community of virtual production professionals and the Starting Pixel podcast, VeePod provides an immersive video set that can show replicas of existing studios or imagined real-world or fantasy locations on screen.
It also allows for identical studios to be set up in separate physical locations, for contributors who are calling in, to give the impression that the speakers are in the same location.
It is designed to be operated by podcast technicians as part of their existing operations, and can be installed in one day in an appropriate production space. Training is provided across VeePod’s automation tools, including lighting synchronisation, matching the virtual and physical worlds and AI-driven camera cutting.
Chandler said: “The way we engage with podcasts is evolving rapidly, and creators face mounting challenges, from costly studio builds, static visual formats, and clunky workflows that don’t scale or attract sponsorship. VeePod addresses these in a simple, intuitive format, so creators can concentrate on compelling content and conversations.”
He added: “With VeePod, you’re not just recording a podcast, you’re building a visual experience that adapts to your creativity, your brand, and your audience. Whether it’s switching set designs on the fly, updating sponsor branding with a tap, or walking away with a near-final edit in hand, we’re giving creators tools previously reserved for film and TV in a very accessible, cost-effective, and intuitive format.”
