The Desk returns

BBC4 current affairs show The Deskhas been commissioned for a second series to cover the general election. The show - presented by Tyler Brul - finished its 10-episode run this week, but will be back on air for six episodes from 12 April to bolster the channel's election coverage. Also, BBC Radio Five Live is teaming up with 1Xtra and the Asian Network to boost interest among ethnic minority groups in the 5 May general election. The stations are planning debates on the role of music and comedy in politics as part of their schedule.
