ITV's chat-show stalwart Trisha Goddard is forming her own indie, which could take eventually take over the making of her daytime show.

She has teamed up with former Granada executive Malcolm Allsop, who was responsible for introducing her to UK audiences six years ago, to create Town House Productions. Allsop is currently chief executive of Holland's TeVe Partners.

Trisha's exclusive contract with Anglia TV, owned by Granada, runs out later this year and she now plans to expand her portfolio of programmes into more than just her ITV daytime chat show.

The company will also look to break into the US market after Trisha met with a number of production companies and networks last year.

Allsop said that the company would be creating new vehicles for her talent and has yet to realise her full potential.
