“Kill Jackie’s redeeming qualities include its jet-set locations. Bilbao does look lovely, which is just as well considering how many times we cut to a drone shot of its skyline. Jackie has furthermore been outfitted with a crew of colourful supporting characters, among them a semi-competent personal assistant and a loquacious fixer There’s also a bumbling lawyer portrayed by Daniel Ings. But a decent cast and lively accent work cannot compensate for this hackneyed late entry in the genre of overcooked hitman comedy or for the stonking lack of originality that oozes from the show’s every pore. For all Zeta-Jones’s evident commitment to the bit, Kill Jackie staggers out of that lift dead on arrival.”
