The UK broadcasting industry heads the nominations for the 2010 Rose d’Or competition - a prestigious global award for television entertainment.
The nominees were announced at simultaneous events in London and Lucerne, with 48 of the 110 shows selected by an international jury coming from the UK.
Winners will be revealed during the 50th Rose d’Or festival, which takes place in Lucerne between September 18 and 22.

Festival Director Rolf Probala revealed the nominated programmes to invitees at Bafta in London and Lucerne’s Schweizerhof Hotel.
The international breakdown of the nominees is:

This year Rose d’Or Awards will be given in the following categories: Arts Documentary & Performing Arts, Children & Youth, Comedy, Drama & Mini Series, Game Show, Multi-Platform, Reality & Factual Entertainment, Sitcom, Soap & Telenovela and Variety & Live Event Show.
