The hit format, which first ran on the commercial network between 1981 and 1993, was originally hosted by Jim Bowen and became renowned for its corny catchphrases such as “You can't beat a bit of Bully” and star prizes of a speed boat.
The show was then brought back by Challenge TV in 2006 with Dave Spikey in charge.
Bullseye creator Andrew Wood, speaking to Broadcastnow, said he “wanted to spend more time on the golf course” and is currently in negotiations with Granada, which originally produced the show, as well as a number of other parties.
Wood is hoping to sell the brand in its entirety, including the worldwide rights to the format as well as the intellectual property aspects and merchandising.
AJW Enterprises, which Wood runs, will still continue.
