Virgin Media revenue from its TV subscribers has fallen by £4m year-on-year in the three months to 30 June after it shed almost 15,000 subscribers.
The quad play operator generated £242m in revenue from its TV subscribers, down 1.6% from the £246m over the same period the previous year.
Net losses of TV subs were down to 14,900, from 16,300 in 2013, taking Virgin’s total TV base to 3.73m homes.
However, Virgin added 137,800 subscribers to its next-generation Tivo service over the period, taking its installed base to 2.3m, 60% of Virgin’s TV homes.
Overall Virgin’s revenues were up by around £30m, to almost £2.1bn from £2.07bn the previous year.
