Brief Complete picture and audio post-production for the series about the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.

How it was done Colourist Enge Gray used a Fuji film stock LUT to give the films a strong identity, while the Nucoda Film Master increased saturation and its DVO Toolset reduced any excess noise.

In the dub, senior dubbing mixer Ben Newth used location sound wherever possible. Izotope’s RX plug-ins corrected any distortion, with notch EQs and reverb used to match radio-mic and Go-Pro recordings. Spot FX supported the actuality without overpowering scenes.

In the online edit, Dan Preston-Bear was freed from the shackles of traditional subtitling methods, opting for captions inspired by comic-style speech bubbles that flow naturally around the screen.
