British film-makers who use special techniques to enhance their wildlife programmes are prominent in the shortlist for this year's Wildscreen Natural History awards. The BBC Natural History Unit picked up 14 nominations as either commissioner or producer, while BBC Specialist Factual received two nods for its Elephants: Spy in the Herd. Other UK producers nominated in the 18 categories include: Aardman, Tigress Productions, OSF Productions, DOX Productions, Granada Bristol and Icon Films. Winners will be announced during the Festival week (10-15 October) this year.
