Channel 4 has appointed Windfall Films producer/director David Glover to its history and science commissioning team.

Glover becomes a deputy commissioning editor for history and science at the channel, where he reports to departmental head Hamish Mykura.

His brief is to take on some of the team's existing project as well as generating his own commissions. He will also help co-ordinate the department's additional output for C4's new factual-skewing service More4, which launches this autumn.

Glover, who joined recently after 11 years with Windfall, works alongside editor of science Louisa Bolch and history commissioner Ralph Lee.

Glover credits include co-devising and producing last year's series The Heist, which brought together a gang of retired criminals to commit robberies.

He also worked on psychology experiment The Tourist Trapfor C4 and on the two-part science series DNA.
