World Productions, the indie run by drama veteran Tony Garnett, is moving into factual programming and has poached former BBC producer Petra Burgin to spearhead the push.
World Productions, the indie run by drama veteran Tony Garnett, is moving into factual programming and has poached former BBC producer Petra Burgin to spearhead the push.

She will take up the newly created role of head of factual development and will work alongside Garnett developing factual and factual entertainment formats and looking for potential co-production partners.

World Productions has in the past specialised in drama with credits including Outlaws, This Lifeand No Angelsbut now wants to diversify. "It's time to expand our work," said Garnett. " Not all our ideas are best suited to dramatic fiction."
