Forget Wenlock and Mandeville, the souvenir everyone wants to get their hands on these Games is the knitted Adam Gamesmaker.

Yes, the host of the eponymously titled The Last Leg With Adam Hills – C4’s Paralympics  highlights show – is hot property, or rather his knitted doll, complete with knitted prosthetic foot, is.

During Monday night’s show, Hills pointed out that the doll was a snip at £15 on eBay. By the next ad break, bidders had offered £2,000, and by the end of the show, the total was £9,000. The following day, as Broadcast went to press, the latest bid was a whopping £34,000.

The power of television… And it’s all in good cause, with all the cash raised going to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. So get bidding…

Hunt’s session: a complaint

It seems that an official complaint has been lodged by a press team following the treatment of their channel’s programming boss at the Edinburgh TV Festival.  No surprises there then.

Peter Fincham had to endure a humiliating ordeal in which a sexual act was performed on him by Keith Lemon. But this complaint was about Jay Hunt’s treatment at the hands of Kirsty Young – although there was strictly no physical contact, we hasten to point out.

It appears the team felt Hunt’s session was unbalanced and she was not given an opportunity to talk about C4’s requirements. The industry awaits YouTube’s video of the session.

This tweet, which popped up onscreen during The Last Leg With Adam Hills, prompted a storm, partly because the comedian failed to address the question. So the following night, he took it on. The answer: like the Paras, it depends on the ‘classification’ of nob. If he’s an ‘N1’, it’s yes.  “Just cos you’re disabled, doesn’t mean you can’t be a nob,” explained Hills.
