MIPCOM: FremantleMedia Enterprises has secured a five-year deal with Fox International Channels that will see new digital channel 24Kitchen become the new home for Jamie Oliver series in the Netherlands.
The new channel, available to more than 3 million digital subscribers, will air a range of Oliver’s titles including new series Jamie’s Great Britain.
The 6 x 60-minute series follows the chef as he celebrates British food, travelling the UK to immerse himself in the traditions and cultures of the country’s cuisine.
As part of the agreement, FIC has also picked up titles starring Anthony Bourdain, Annabel Langbein, Donna Hay and Bill Grainger for 24Kitchen.
The deal was brokered by Richard Tulk-Hart, FME’s vice president of sales and distribution for Benelux, Malta, sub Saharan Africa and Cyprus.
On the FIC side, the deal was handled by global acquisitions exec Moreyba Bidessie.
FME has represented Oliver’s programming since 2002 and sold his programmes to more than 140 countries, translated into more than 30 languages.
