ITV ordered a second series of physical entertainment show Ninja Warrior ahead of the final of the opening run on 30 May.
The commercial broadcaster has opened the application process for a follow-up series in advance of auditions taking place from May to July. The first series attracted just over 6000 applications.
ITV Studios’ indie Potato acquired the rights to the format, which challenges contestants to complete a tough obstacle course in the shortest time possible, in December.

It has experienced a solid first series since its launch in April, generating a consolidated average audience of 4.6m (24.1%) across its first six parts.
The high octane gameshow reeled in its biggest crowd for its fourth episode which entertained 5.1m (25.6%) viewers.
Adapted from the Japanese format Sasuke, the first series was presented by Good Morning Britain anchor Ben Shephard, Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes and Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara.
