Century Aspect signs double talent deal
The indie is working on original business shows for Caan and on ideas for Freeman looking at how he can help people struggling with serious legal problems.
“We see James as an exciting new talent and with his company website now receiving more than 250,000 hits a week, there is a demand to see more of him.
“Nick has the potential to be a really big star and he wants to use his skill to do some good.
“We are in talks with a number of broadcasters about these formats,” said managing director Lawrence Walford.
He added that the deals are part of a wider trend for indies to sign up talent to attach to ideas before pitching to broadcasters: “TV is increasingly talent-driven and if indies can sign up big names or ones with potential, it's a great help when negotiating deals. Many stars have ideas for shows - which is great because they are passionate about what they do.”
Caan's profile has soared since he joined Dragons' Den in its fifth series. Freeman has represented a string of celebrity clients including Caprice and David Beckham.
