Leaves after 14 years

Juliet-Borges

Remedy Productions boss Juliet Borges is to leave the Argonon-owned indie after 14 years.

Borges, who set up the company in 2003 alongside Toby Dormer, is leaving to “explore other opportunities”.

Chief creative officer Tom Blakeson, who joined the entertainment indie in 2012, will take over as managing director, while also continuing in his current position.

Remedy, which merged with James Burstall’s Leopard Films to create Argonon in 2011, currently produces C4’s rebooted Fifteen To One and recently made C5’s Lorraine Kelly doc Penguin A & E and The Radio One Teen Awards for the BBC.

Borges said: “Remedy Productions is a company that we set up to produce ambitious, entertaining programming and I am so proud of the team, who consistently deliver this across so many broadcasters.

“I know that I leave Remedy with the passion, ambition and vision to continue producing first class entertainment programmes.”

Argonon chief executive Burstall added: “Juliet has been a vital part of the Remedy journey and as a board member of Argonon, she will be very much missed. We wish her every success in the future.”
