ITV1’s new celebrity singing contest Popstar to Operastar debuted with 4m (15.4%) on Friday night, losing out to BBC1’s Silent Witness, while Jonathan Ross returned to his BBC1 chatshow for the first time since announcing plans to quit the corporation.
