Absolute Radio has expanded programme manager Tony Moorey’s role to include leadership of a new interactive division as part of a management restructure.

Moorey now becomes content director and will be responsible for all on-air and online content. All music, production and programme teams will report into him, as will members of the new interactive content department.

Absolute has also created an interactive research and development department, to be headed by technical director Paul Brown, who was previously head of technology services.

Head of marketing Clare Baker is upgraded to marketing director and her role will include digital marketing, events and audience research. Head of communications Cat Macdonald will take on overall brand marketing and content, alongside PR and communications, in the new role of communications director.

The new senior management team will report directly to chief operating officer Clive Dickens, who said the changes reflected Absolute’s transformation into “a digital, music and entertainment brand with audio at its core”.
