WEDNESDAY: Channel 4 doubled its slot average with English far right documentary Angry, White and Proud.

Mentorn Media’s one-off film, directed by Jamie Roberts, following English Defence League splinter groups was the most-watched show in the slot barring BBC1 and ITV’s news bulletins.
The doc whipped up 1m viewers more than the channel’s slot average of 871,000 (5.3%) for the past 12 months.
Opposite, Channel 5 aired the second instalment of drama Suspects, which kicked off on Tuesday night. It gripped 750,000 (4.6%), just short of the 773,000 (4.8%) that tuned in for the opener.

The first Horizon of the year concluded after three parts with a 1.8m (7.9%) series average.
Elsewhere C4 aired the second episode of The Garden’s 24 Hours In A&E to 2.3m (10.4%), narrowly above last week’s opener.
It was outperformed by Celebrity Big Brother on C5, which entertained 2.6m (11.7%), and ITV’s Midsomer Murders which got underway for two hours from 8pm to 3.2m (14.7%).

IWC’s three-part series got off to a solid start, smashing C5’s slot average of 910,000 (4.3%) according to Barb data supplied by overnights.tv.
However it was still the lowest rated show at 8pm.
Tiger Aspect’s Restoration Man pulled in 2.1m (10%) viewers for C4 in the same slot, shedding 100,000 from last week’s series five opener.
The second part of BBC2’s Nature’s Weirdest Events informed 1.9m (9.2%), while on BBC1 the Match of the Day Live coverage of Southampton’s FA Cup third round replay against Ipswich pulled in 3.9m (18.4%).
