The selection process for the new programming head of BBC Choice is due to be completed by Friday (24 September). Front-runners are said to include UK Play editor Stuart Murphy, BBC Choice programming executive Katy Thorogood, BBC music entertainment executive producer Paul Smith and a programming executive from Rapture Television. The replacement will take over from Katharine Everett, who is to become BBC Broadcast controller of interactive TV and navigation.
