BBC Sounds is to release Lily Allen and Miquita Oliver’s hit podcast Miss Me? with full visual episodes, just over a year after launch.
Produced by Persephonica, the twice-weekly show sees the two celebrity hosts catch up from either side of the pond, discussing the highs and lows of their lives.
The pair also release weekly episodes of the show titled Listen Bitch! in which they answer audience questions and it is these episodes that are set to be visualised.
Beginning on Tuesday 25 March, a run of weekly visualised episodes of Listen Bitch! will air on the BBC Sounds YouTube channel.
Miss Me? is usually filmed for select social media clips, but full episodes have not yet been available as visualised episodes except for a special guest episode with Billie Eilish on 10 June.
The expansion of the format comes after it scored two sold out live shows at London’s Hackney Empire.
In its first year, the show has become one of the BBC’s most popular podcasts for under 35s on BBC Sounds and won Gold for Best Entertainment show at the 2024 British Podcast Awards.
Popstar Allen said: “As proud as we are of the show’s success, seeing Listen Bitch! take on a life of its own is so exciting because it’s been this unexpected opportunity to really connect with our audience every week.”
Commissioning editor for BBC Radio 5 Live and Sounds Dylan Haskins added: “We’re excited to extend the format into visualised form, growing the BBC’s fantastic on-demand offering for listeners and diversifying the ways in which audiences can discover and enjoy shows.”
