Bectu’s annual freelancer fair is to focus on the issue of bullying in the TV industry.

As part of the one day event a special panel, Britain’s Got Bullies will be held from 1.45pm to 3.15pm on 18 June to explore the work of the BBC’s Respect at Work review and Bectu’s Say No to Exploitation in TV campaign.

It will tackle the issues of bullying and feature professionals with expert knowledge on the subject.

Broadcast editor Lisa Campbell will chair the panel in which Dinah Rose QC, Graham Russell (Change Associates), Donna Taberer (BBC), Anne-Marie Quigg (author of Bullying in the Arts) and Rebecca Peyton (actor and playwright) will also appear.

The creative industry union has organised an entire day of events specifically for freelancers and other sessions will focus on marketing, funding content and technological innovations.

The Freelancer Fair is open to both Bectu members and non-members.
