Channel 4’s foreign-language drama service Walter Presents has acquired a pair of Belgian crime titles from Attraction Distribution.

13 Commandments

Crime procedural Coppers, produced by Dirks Impens for VTM, follows the head of a Belgian police homicide division.

Meanwhile, 13 Commandments [pictured] is a serialized thriller about a modern-day Moses who commits a series of crimes to restore moral values in society.

Walter Presents is to launch as a subscription service in the US in March, marking its first launch outside the UK. It is expected to roll out in other territories across the year.

Walter Iuzzolino, Walter Presents co-founder said: “I am consistently thrilled by the quality of Belgium drama and these two series are no exception. 13 Commandments is a compelling and brutal contemporary drama and, as with all the best thrillers, it will at times have you hiding behind a cushion.

“Coppers is in many ways a simple crime procedural but the quality of the actors and the story telling came as a real surprise and is what makes this crime drama feel totally unique.”
