ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent mobile app was downloaded over 1m times over the course of the series, while the show’s finale drew tweets from over 320,000 viewers on Sunday.

The concluding episode was by far the most-tweeted about of the series with just under 3% of the 11m viewers commenting about the show on the social media platform according to data from SecondSync.
The volume of activity peaked in the moments around 8.45pm as Simon Cowell was pelted with eggs by a former contestant who had stormed the stage.
The number of updates sent spiked again in the closing minutes from 9.50pm as Hungarian act Attraction was named winner of the contest.
Across the 90-minute show just under 5000 BGT-related updates were posted each minute, helping the show become the third most-tweeted about show of the year, behind The Brit Awards and Comic Relief.
Separately the BGT Bling Your Buzzer app was downloaded just over 1m times, compared with the 900,000 generated by the previous series’ app.
The interactive app, developed by Tellybug, saw over 10m user sessions from viewers who were able to press their own buzzer to be part of a live poll and compare their choices with the judges and other viewers.
Over 500,000 users have unlocked personalised buzzers, which include a Cow and Union Jack-theme, by either interacting with the app throughout the series or paying 69p to upgrade.
