Roseberry Media to repurpose IP from Banijay Rights, All3MI, Fremantle and A+E Global Media
Abot Hameiri’s co-founder Guy Hameiri is among a group of execs behind a nascent vertical TV firm that aims to produce original content and distribute IP from major distributors.

Roseberry Media will produce and distribute “mass appeal” programming designed to be consumed vertically, tapping into a trend that has already seen Disney+ and Netflix move into the medium.
Agreements have been struck with distributors including Banijay Rights, Fremantle, A+E Global Media, All3Media International and Cineflix Rights to repurpose select IP from their libraries into vertical form, using the company’s proprietary AI-powered workflows and technology.
Details of the shows set to become available have been kept under wraps but deals struck with the distributors are understood to cover scripted and unscripted content, including docs, true crime and reality shows.
Hameiri has partnered with former Amagi exec Lior Friedman, and entrepreneurs Itay Koppel and Simi Efrati on the venture, which aims to build a “vertical television studio” using original IP and established titles.
The company is also set to launch a direct-to-consumer platform this summer, offering what it claims will be high-quality, mobile-first vertical storytelling.
Hameiri, who sold Shtisel producer Abot Hameiri to Fremantle in 2016, said: “Vertical is one of the fastest growing areas in the media sector, yet it is rarely defined by true craftsmanship or quality.
“We’re bringing together world class creative talent, technologists, and partners to elevate vertical into a premium entertainment category.”
Hameiri said the use of AI would deliver a “scalable model” that would provide “brand safe, advertiser ready content” for partners.
By integrating content, technology and distribution, the company hopes to create new revenue streams across advertising, partnerships, licensing, and direct audience relationships.
RoseBerry is headquartered in New York, with creative and technology hubs in London and Tel Aviv.
