Series explores a woman’s attempts to coordinate her father’s relationships at a retirement community
Apple TV is expanding its comedy output with a half-hour show starring Elizabeth Banks (The Miniature Wife).

The as-yet untitled series will be showrun and executive produced by creators Liz Heldens (Friday Night Lights) and Matt Ward (The Big Leap).
20th Television, at which Heldens has an overall deal, is producing, with the series set to start filming in LA later this year.
Banks will exec produce alongside Max Handelman and Krissy Wall through her Brownstone Productions banner.
Jonathan Krisel (English Teacher) will direct the pilot and serve as executive producer, as will Quinn Haberman for Selfish Mermaid, with Jason Winer and Jon Radler also attached via Small Dog Picture Company.
The show tracks Banks’ character Heidi, fresh off a messy divorce, as she sets out to secure a new life for herself and her kids.
But when she stumbles into arranging her father’s personal life at his retirement community, she is forced into an unlikely alliance with his girlfriend’s perpetually single son.
Apple TV’s comedy slate includes flagships such as Ted Lasso and Shrinking, as well as more recent launch Friends and Neighbours.
The streamer also greenlit an eight-part London-based adaptation of best-selling comic novel The Husbands from A24 and the producers of Your Friends and Neighbors last year.
