Like A Shot West’s production is narrated by Dara O’Briain and explores six of the country’s national parks

SBS in Australia and Germany’s Welt have struck pre-sale deals for Like A Shot West’s upcoming three-part docuseries about Ireland’s national parks.
National Parks from Above - Ireland will also air on Welt in Austria and Switzerland, while RCS and RDS are on board in Romania, and BBC Studios has picked up the show in Poland.
The docuseries is narrated by Irish comedian and presenter Dara O’Briain, who joins viewers as they are taken to the skies to explore the country’s natural wonders and history.
The show has been produced with funding from Tourism Ireland, distributor Blue Ant Media and further investment from Argonon-backed Like A Shot.
It dives deep into six of Ireland’s national parks, exploring two regions in each episode with locations ranging from County Donegal’s Glenveagh National Park and Wicklow Mountains National Park to Killarney National Park.
Henry Scott, managing director of Like A Shot West, said the show offered “a visual treat, capturing the ancient landscapes of the Emerald Isle, world-renowned for its rugged and unspoilt beauty.”
He added: “We are delighted to have been given extensive access – both from high in the sky and on the ground – to produce a series that will appeal to audiences worldwide.”
Executive producers are Scott and Like A Shot’s head of development Danny O’Brien. Directors are Luke Wales and Tom Williams.
